
Peter Heppner
Biography
Peter Heppner is a singer from Hamburg, born in 1967.
In 1987, he founded the duo Wolfsheim, with which he became known in the underground scene. His first commercial success came in 1991 with the single The Sparrows and the Nightingales.
His notoriety expanded considerably through collaborations with other figures in electronic music. In 1998, he achieved major chart success by collaborating with the 80s star Joachim Witt on the single Die Flut.
He also worked with the electronic project Schiller, reaching the charts in 2004 with the tracks Dream of You and Leben… I Feel You. The same year, he released the track Wir sind wir with Paul Van Dyk.
Among his other collaborations are a project with Mila Mar and Kim Sanders from Culture Beat which produced the single Aus Gold, as well as a track with the former Wolfsheim producer, José Alvarez-Brill, titled Vielleicht.
He left the group Wolfsheim in January 2009 due to personal differences.
