Miss Shiva
Biography
Miss Shiva is the stage name of electronic artist Nathalie Bungardt.
In 1991, driven by a search for movement and freedom, she set off on extensive travels across Europe that brought her to Frankfurt, a city at the forefront of the emerging techno era. Inspired by the atmosphere at Sven Väth’s Omen club, she began her DJ career three years later.
After residencies in local clubs, she developed a preference for a trance-tinged sound and went on to take her sets worldwide. She played major clubs and key events including HR3 Clubnight, Germany’s Love Parade, and venues in Miami, Ibiza, Malta, and England.
In 2001, during the “Overload” spectacle at Vienna’s Kunsthalle, she received the Techno Award for Best DJane of the year 2000. Her 12″ EP Dreams 2002, featuring remixes by Cosmic Gate and Humate, reached the Top 20 of the British sales charts.
