Oda Loves You

Biography

Oda Loves You is the musical project of Norwegian artist and singer-songwriter Oda Evjen Gjøvåg, connected to the Melodi Grand Prix.

In central Bergen in the mid-1990s she regularly sang on her doorstep to entertain passersby and earn pocket money, an early experience that taught her how long the road to becoming an artist can be.

In 2019 she co-wrote songs for Alan Walker and Marcus and Martinus, together accumulating over 120 million streams. She also lent her voice to tracks by EC Twins and Minus Manus, totaling more than 20 million streams.

At 19 she moved to Los Angeles to challenge herself personally and professionally: studies, odd jobs and songwriting. Seven years later she returned to Norway with training in screenwriting and a substantial catalogue of lyrics.

She recently adopted the stage name Oda Loves You, expressing her goal to spread love and positivity. Her influences include Britney Spears and Spice Girls; she presents mainstream, confident and uplifting pop.
