Sqeezer

Sqeezer is a eurodance music project produced by the Bermann brothers, known for their work with Amber and She Moves. The original lineup featured Yvonne Spath and later Lori (Loretta) Stern on female vocals, Jim Reeves as male vocalist and model, and Tee-Jay as dancer.

Success began with the 1995 single Scandy Randy, which did so well that a remix CD was released on January 27, 1996. The follow-up single, Blue Jeans, saw Yvonne Spath replaced by Lori Stern. The third single, Sweet Kisses, came out on September 3, 1996 and also became a major hit.

The album Drop Your Pants was released on September 3, 1996, offering twelve tracks that blended a 1950s flavor with eurodance beats. After dancer Tee-Jay left and was replaced by Marc Theven, the group was hit by Theven’s suicide, which led to the cancellation of a tour in Spain and jeopardized the project’s future.

Despite a letter from Marc Theven accusing Jim Reeves, Lori Stern and management of being responsible for his death, the group carried on. It released the single Tamagotchi in September 1997, followed by Without You in 1998, which reached No. 8 on the German charts, and then the album Street Life, marking a stylistic shift closer to the Backstreet Boys.

Later, Lori Stern left the group to focus on an acting career and was replaced by a singer named Veronica. They sang together on the track Lonely Nights, a single that was never released.

After a long silence, Sqeezer returned in 2001 with Jim Reeves and Lori Stern, joined by model and singer Heidi Goldstein for the single Remember Summertime, released on September 3. In 2002, the group held a major casting with the help of TV channel RTL2 to find a new singer and released the single 3 Times on November 25.

In 2003, the group presented the single Hot Ski Teeny, chosen as the anthem for the German winter release Apres-Ski Hits 2004. A new singer, Nicky, was selected via the reality show *Casting Agentur* on Pro7. In 2004, Sqeezer released its summer single Hot Bikini, an adapted version of Hot Ski Teeny.
