
John Lundvik
Biography
John Hassim Lundvik, born 27 January 1983 in London, is a Swedish singer-songwriter. Adopted at one week by a Swedish couple, he spent his first six years in London before growing up in Växjö.
His career took off in 2010 when, together with Jörgen Elofsson, he co-wrote the song When You Tell the World You're Mine, performed at the Swedish royal wedding. He later composed for artists such as Isac Elliot, Anton Ewald and Sanna Nielsen, wrote film music for the Snabba Cash saga and voiced Simba in the Swedish version of the film The Lion King (2019).
He is best known for his Melodifestivalen appearances: author of Natural (2014), performer with [song]My Turn[/song] (third in 2018) and winner with [song]Too Late for Love[/song] in 2019, which enabled him to represent Sweden at Eurovision 2019 and finish fifth. In the same edition he was also co-writer of Bigger than Us, the United Kingdom’s entry.
He returned to Melodifestivalen in 2022 with [song]Änglavakt[/song], qualifying for the final, and again in 2025 with [song]Voice of the Silent[/song], finishing sixth. He also won the 2020 edition of the Swedish dance show Let’s Dance alongside professional Linn Hegdal.
