David Emde
Biography
David Emde is a 25-year-old German songwriter, singer and pianist based in Alzey (Rhineland-Palatinate). He crafts catchy melodies and thoughtful lyrics, and records frankly what he thinks and feels.
Having taken piano lessons as a child, he taught himself to play popular songs by ear rather than reading sheet music. At 18 he began vocal lessons and produced his first own pieces.
A graduate of a music university, he built numerous connections within the electronic scene and, in 2023, was honored with the German Songwriting Award (EDM) for Skyline.
In April he founded his own music school in Alzey, “Musikfabrik”, where he supports people of all ages in songwriting/producing, singing, ear training and piano.
His aim is to show that mistakes are necessary to learn and evolve; he encourages fans, colleagues and students to always be themselves.
