Angie Be

Biography

Angie Be, born Élodie Bouche, is a French singer born in 1977.

She began musical training early: music theory at age 6, saxophone at 8 and choral singing at 10. Alongside music, from age 16 she pursued fashion work as a model and appeared in films and TV series in France, the United States, Italy and Germany.

Her musical path shifted in 2004 when she sang in the group Deli’s, signed to Universal France; at that time she was put in contact, via DJ RLS, with her future producers, a collaboration that produced the track “Soundwaves”. RLS is a French DJ who has worked with artists such as Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears and Black Eyed Peas.

Her profile rose quickly in the summer of 2009 after participating in the reality show Secret Story (Big Brother) on TF1; her single then enjoyed major success on radio, TV and in French clubs during autumn and winter 2009-2010.

Signed to Universal Music France, her career was developed internationally in 2010 through partnerships with labels such as Ministry Of Sound in the United Kingdom, Hi-Bias in the United States and Canada, and The David Gresham Rec in South Africa. The following single, “Forever”, was released in autumn 2010 in France and Italy.
