Guru Josh Project

Guru Josh Project

Biography

The Guru Josh Project was created in 2007 by DJ and producer Darren Bailie. The collective included Paul Walden on keyboards and producer Anders Nyman, also known as Snakebyte.

The project originated from a discussion between the founder and Guru Josh Project about remixing the classic track Infinity (1990's… Time for the Guru). An initial remix was made but met with a mixed reception; to give it more exposure it was sent to several labels, and the German label Big City Beats saw its potential and signed it.

Unsatisfied with the submitted version, the label commissioned several remixers and entrusted the project to Klaas, resulting in Infinity 2008 (Klass Remix). The track became a worldwide hit, selling millions of copies and earning multi-platinum certification, making it one of the biggest successes in dance music history.

The Guru Josh Project disbanded in 2009 and its members continued their careers independently.
