Biography
Lange, born Stuart James Langelaan in Shrewsbury, United Kingdom, is a trance DJ and producer.
Considered an innovator of the trance sound that exploded in 1998, he is widely recognized as one of the scene’s most consistent and solid producers.
His first major success was his remix of Protect Your Mind, soon followed by his famous remix of Happiness Happening, which also entered the UK Top 20.
In total he reached the UK Top 40 twenty times, a record for a trance artist, and he also contributed to a film soundtrack.
He has remixed mainstream artists such as The Pet Shop Boys and Faithless.
As a prolific international DJ, Lange has played at renowned clubs like Godskitchen, Gatecrasher and Ministry Of Sound, as well as at major festivals such as Global Gathering, Creamfields, Sziget, Sunrise and Balaton.
He appeared consistently in the influential Top 100 DJ Poll for eight years and rose to 6th place in the Tranceaddict Top 250 Poll.
His label, Lange Recordings, was created to showcase his own productions and those of established and emerging trance artists, gaining steady support from elite DJs over the years.
