Liviu Hodor

Liviu Hodor, born Liviu Ilie Hodor, is a Romanian DJ and producer from Câmpulung, now based in Bucharest.

He began his career at 16 in his hometown; after working as a radio DJ he started performing in clubs across Romania from the age of 18. After moving to Bucharest he collaborated with the television channel Pro TV and hosted his own show on Vibe Fm, the country’s leading dance radio, while continuing his DJ career. This activity earned him the Best New Act award at the 2010 Nights.ro Awards.

In 2009 he took a new step by launching, with singer Tara and global star Edward Maya, the dance project Liviu Hodor feat Tara. Their first single, Happy for You, reached number one on Romanian radio charts for several weeks and remained on air for more than a year, becoming the longest-running song on the Romanian Top 100 Airplay.

The duo released a second single in 2010, Dream with You, a summery track with accordion sounds composed by Liviu Hodor with his studio partners from the group Sunrise Inc. The song was widely played on radio and became one of the most-played club tracks in the country.

In 2011 Liviu Hodor again collaborated with Sunrise Inc on the dance track Still the Same, whose video was voted among the best produced in Romania. In the summer of the same year he released Sweet Love with singer Mona; the track received a huge response and quickly entered DJs’ and radio playlists in Romania and beyond.

Following this success, he released the single Je T’aime in 2012, again featuring Mona on vocals. His debut studio album is to be released.
