Fly Project
Biography
Fly Project is a dance group from Romania, formed by Tudor Ionescu and Dan Denes. The duo debuted in the summer of 2005 with the song Raisa, which became an instant hit, reaching number one in clubs across the country and staying at the top of the music charts until the summer of 2006.
Tudor Ionescu and Dan Denes met three years earlier through a mutual friend. Sharing the same musical tastes, they quickly laid the foundations for the project. Tudor, then 26 and from Brașov, was studying public relations and working as a DJ and producer for a local radio station. Dan, 31, was a sound engineer at a recording studio in the same city.
The group released its self-titled ten-track album, Fly Project, in October 2005; the album also includes four remixes and is described as a dance-techno style. The single Raisa remained one of the most played songs on the radio, continuing to climb specialized charts.
