Ray Slijngaard
Biography
Ray Slijngaard, whose real name is Raymond Lothar Slijngaard, is a Dutch rapper born on 28 June 1971 in Amsterdam. He is best known as the male rapper of the Eurodance group 2 Unlimited, alongside singer Anita Doth and producers Jean-Paul De Coster and Phil Wilde.
After 2 Unlimited split in 1996, he focused on his own Dance label X-Ray Records / Rayvano Productions and released a few solo singles, without major commercial success. He is also known under the aliases Kid Ray and Rayvano.
In 1999, he formed the group VIP Allstars with rapper Marvin D. and scored a minor hit with the track Mamacita. He later planned the release of a single titled The Anthem and an album called Alien Nation under the name Raytec.
