Jones and Stephenson
Biography
Jones & Stephenson is a Belgian music project in the Hard Trance style. It was originally formed by Frank Sels, also known as Franky Jones, and David Brants, performing under the name Axel Stephenson.
The duo is best known for its iconic track The First Rebirth, released in 1993, which became a classic of the genre.
In the late 1990s, David Brants left the project. Frank Sels then continued Jones & Stephenson as a solo act for many years.
In March 2018, a new chapter began with the arrival of Rob Fabrie, known as DJ Waxweazle, as a new production partner alongside Franky Jones. Their first joint production under the Jones & Stephenson banner was titled The Sixth Rebirth.
The project is sometimes referenced under other names as well, such as Frank Sels & Axel Stephenson, or various combinations of the names Jones and Stephenson.
