Biography
Beattraax, whose real name is Piotr Mazur, is a DJ, producer and composer from Poland, born on 4 September 1979.
His public beginnings occurred on radio thanks to the support of Andrzej Szarometa: he hosted the program “Radio Wodzirej” on Radio Opole several times, which launched his presence in the local music scene.
His musical universe is mainly rooted in electronic currents — electro house, techno, tech trance, progressive trance, dance and house — aimed at the dancefloor.
Over the years he has performed live, given interviews and played in numerous Polish clubs, notably Millennium, Skippens, Discoplex A4 and Aztek, and he took part in the Piastonalia editions of 2002 and 2003 in Opole.
His career includes recognitions such as honorable mentions in the POP DJ competitions in 2003 and 2004. A significant turning point as a composer was the “Project Well”, which emerged on the major club scene: subsequent productions received a favorable reception and grew in notoriety during his live performances.
His compositions are characterized by a generous beat, pronounced melodic lines, powerful bass and an innovative approach. Under this pseudonym he represents an artistic project focused on creating and mixing electronic music for the dancefloor.
