Jess Carroll
Biography
Jess Carroll began singing at the age of six, after her nanny heard her performing Somewhere Over The Rainbow in a park and insisted she take lessons. At ten, she entered a performing arts school, an experience she describes as difficult, although she appreciated the opportunity to perform on stages in London’s West End.
She turned away from singing during her teenage years, weary of constant requests, but rediscovered her passion through school shows and obtaining an A-level in Music. After high school, she confirmed her calling and undertook a one-year course at Vocaltech College in London, the tuition fees for which were gifted to her for her eighteenth birthday.
This investment paid off: she was selected as one of ten students to sing with a live band at the graduation ceremony. She also received support from her uncle, a musician, singer, and composer, with whom she sang and attended the Midem festival in Cannes to promote her music.
Jess Carroll is now signed to SHED Publishing/Records, a label and management that sees her as a future star, captivated by her warm, expressive voice and professionalism. A team of talented composers and remixers has formed around her.
Her first dance track, Without You, has been played in renowned clubs like Pacha and Club de Paris, where it was very well received. Added to the playlists of over 550 DJs across the UK, it reached tenth place on the Commercial Dance Chart.
