Radiorama

Radiorama

Biography

Radiorama is one of the major Italo disco groups in Europe. The project was created and produced by Mauro Farina, Giuliano Crivellente, Paolo Gemma, and Marco Bresciani. Production began in 1985 with hits like Aliens, Yeti, Vampires, ABCD, and Chance To Desire.

The group’s history can be divided into two distinct periods: the first from 1985 to 1987, and the second from 1988 to 1990, corresponding to the peak of Italo disco and Eurobeat on European dance floors. The project was founded at the request of Mauro Farina by Aldo Martinelli, who co-wrote the first single with Simona Zanini. However, Martinelli later withdrew from composition, leaving Mauro Farina to continue work on subsequent songs.

Radiorama’s productions were typically sung by Mauro Farina (male lead vocals) and Clara Moroni (the group’s female voice), except for the first single, where vocals were handled by Marco Bresciani and Simona Zanini. The tracks were composed, directed, and arranged by the duo Mauro Farina and Giuliano Crivellente, with the latter also handling executive production.

The group made a major comeback in 1993 with the single Aliens 2, again performed by Mauro Farina. Subsequently, their tracks shifted towards a Euro house style. In the 1990s, the official singer was Angelo Morales, although the male voice could still be that of Mauro Farina. Other vocalists contributed to the project over the years, including Cristina Dori, Annerley, Melody Castellari, Jackie Bodimead, Juliet Roberts, Ricky H., Fabio Serra, Oscar, and Antonella.

In 1998 and 1999, tracks like Give Me The Night, Beautiful Man, Ninna Ninna Oh, and More Time were produced with the participation of the French project TX Express, in cooperation with Mauro Farina for the Ramdam Factory label. In the 2000s, Radiorama continued to release music, including tracks such as Oh World, It's My Life, and Magic Butterfly in 2008.

The group released numerous albums throughout its career, including *Desires and Vampires* (1986), *2nd Album* (1987), *The Legend* (1988), *The Best Of* (1989), *Four Years After* (Japanese edition), *The Fifth* (1990), *Golden Hits* (1996), *World Of Radiorama* (1999), and *Yesterday Today Tomorrow* (2002).
