Anna Lesko, born Anna Stepvania Lyzhcko, was born on January 10, 1979 in Chișinău, Moldova.
She became a pop phenomenon in Romania with a fully original repertoire and elaborate stage performances. Her music combines club, dance, and Russian ethnic influences.
She is considered one of the most in-demand live concert singers in Romania, and her hits are known by several generations of music lovers in the country.
