Biography
Not Real Presence was a Spanish techno house project formed by Sonia Barbero Verdeguer, Ricardo Vazquez LLanes, Alfonso Rueda, Alex Peña, Juan Francisco Onielfa, and Luis Simón.
The group achieved notable success in 1992 with the release of the single Chiki Chika, which became a hit in Spain and parts of Europe.
The project disbanded between 1992 and 1993.
Subsequently, some members—Alex Peña, Alfonso Rueda, Juan Francisco Onielfa, and Luis Simón—formed the project Not Real.
Meanwhile, Ricardo Vazquez LLanes and Sonia Barbero Verdeguer went on to found the label Moon Records after several other projects.
The song Chiki Chika has also been covered by artists X-Cite and Technical Offence.
The project’s musical style is associated with techno, makina, house, and eurodance.
Besides Chiki Chika, the group also released a single titled Enjoy.
