Sonic Dream Collective

Sonic Dream Collective was a Swedish dance and pop group from Uppsala, active between 1994 and 1999.

The collective consisted of singer and writer Linn Engström (also known as Linn Maria Wågberg), songwriter Jon Hällgren, and producer Anders Wågberg.

Their biggest success came with their third single, Oh, Baby All, which reached number two on the Swedish charts and was even number one on the Tracks chart of the national radio station P3.

Their first album, titled Gravity, was released the same year, in 1997 in the United States.

Between 1994 and 1997, the band co-founded and operated its own record label, Flying Duck Music, with producer Stefan Warnberg.

A close collaboration then developed with Giovanni Sconfienza and the label Remixed Records, which released their second and final album, Dustproof, in 1998.

By this time, the band’s name had been shortened to Sonic Dream.

The album Dustproof notably included a collaboration with American guitarist Raven Storm, who was recording at the Flying Duck studios at the time. His contribution is particularly audible on the track Colors of the Wind.

The band’s musical style is associated with Eurodance and Europop.
