Imany
Biography
Nadia Mladjao, better known by her stage name Imany, is an afro-soul singer. She was born in 1979 in the French Comoros Islands. Her stage name Imany (Imani) means faith in Swahili.
In her youth, she was an accomplished athlete, practicing the high jump. She then became a model for the Ford Models Europe agency. She stayed in the United States for seven years before returning to France, where she began her singing career. She currently splits her life between the United States and France.
She is also known under the alias Masayuki Imanishi, which corresponds to her real name.
