Masters at Work
Biography
Masters at Work is an American production duo formed by Louie Vega and Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez.
The project name was given to them by their mutual friend, producer Todd Terry, who had himself used this pseudonym for a few tracks in the late 1980s.
The duo is behind numerous projects and aliases, including Nuyorican Soul, KenLou, Sole Fusion, Groove Box, Voices, 200 Sheep, and MAW Electronic.
In 1995, they founded the MAW Records label with their then-manager, Steve Rosen.
