Mandaryna

Biography

Mandaryna, real name Marta Katarzyna Wiktoria Wiśniewska, is a Polish singer and actress born on March 12, 1978, in Łódź. She is also known under the aliases Marta Wiśniewska and Mandaryna Dance Studio, the latter being the name of her dance school opened in 2007.

Her musical career, primarily focused on dance and pop, achieved notable success in 2004 with the song Here I Go Again, a cover of a Whitesnake track produced by Groove Coverage. However, her reputation as a singer was severely damaged in 2005 by the release of a recording showing her singing without playback, followed by a performance deemed disappointing at the Sopot Festival that same year.

In her personal life, she was married from 2002 to 2006 to Polish singer Michał Wiśniewski, the frontman of the band Ich Troje, with whom she had two children. After this separation, she continued her career, notably participating in the Top Trendy festival where she performed new tracks and a cover of Varius Manx.

Her musical style, categorized as dance, eurodance, and europop, evolved in 2009 with a change of record label and producer. She is also a graduate of the School of Design and Advertising, Drama Art section, in Łódź and appeared in the television series “Na Wspólnej” in 2003.
