Biography
The duo Milk and Sugar is formed by producers and DJs Michael Kronenberger and Steffen Harning, originally from Munich.
The project was influenced by the London house scene of the mid-90s. It gained international fame in the early 2000s thanks to house classics like Let The Sun Shine and Love Is In The Air, which entered the UK Top 40 charts.
The duo also achieved notable success in 2011 with its remix of Hey (Nah Neh Nah), earning it four gold record awards.
In 2022, Steffen Harning left the duo, leaving Michael Kronenberger to continue the project solo.
Their productions primarily fall within the disco house and funky house styles.
Throughout their career, the duo’s members have used numerous aliases and name variations for their productions, including Jacques Dumondt, Boogee Deluxe, MS2, Marché, Tickt, D-Bit, Elements Of Trance (2), Replicant (5), D-Freeze, Takana Nuango, Fahrenheit (3), B.E., Fair Play, Housemates, Steven Sugar, and DJ Stevie Steve.
The duo is also behind several collaborative projects such as Hitch Hiker & Jacques Dumondt and Mike Stone & Steve Heller.
Among the many spelling variations and names used for the duo are M&S, Milk ‘N’ Sugar, Milk + Sugar, Milk And Sugar, Milk N Sugar, Milk’N’Sugar, Milkandsugar, as well as various combinations using the pseudonyms Mike Milk and Steven Sugar.
