Subwoolfer
Biography
Subwoolfer is a Norwegian pop duo formed in 2021. The members perform in black suits, white shirts, ties, and yellow gloves, wearing distinctive yellow wolf head masks, under the pseudonyms Keith and Jim.
Their real identities remained secret until February 4, 2023, when they removed their masks during the final of Melodi Grand Prix 2023, revealing themselves to be Ben Adams (Keith) and Gaute Ormåsen (Jim). Previously, they had won Melodi Grand Prix 2022 and represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with their song Give That Wolf a Banana.
The project is set in an elaborate fictional universe: Subwoolfer presents itself as the greatest band in the galaxy, formed 4.5 billion years ago on the Moon. The brothers Keith and Jim are said to have conquered the music scene of every planet. On June 20, 1969, a prophet named Neil allegedly appeared to them, promising to help them become the greatest band on Earth if they wrote the greatest song in the universe in English. Armed with Give That Wolf A Banana, which they consider to be that ultimate song, they came to Earth to compete in Eurovision.
The group is also known under the alias Keith, Jim & DJ Astonaut.
