Verena

Biography

Verena, full name Verena Adam von Strenge, was born on July 27, 1975.

She is best known for being a former member of the group Dune, where she initially performed as a dancer alongside Oliver Froning, Jens Oettrich, and Bernd Burhoff. This involvement later led to her becoming the lead singer of the band, contributing to the albums Expedicion, Live!, and Forever.

She left Dune in 1997 to pursue a solo career, releasing singles such as Finally Alone (1997), Heartbeat (1998), and Part Of Your World (1998). A track titled Sky (Follow Me) was also planned but never released.

In 1999, she rejoined Dune for a second time, contributing to the single Dark Side Of The Moon at the end of that year. However, legal complications prevented the release of the follow-up single Heaven and the album Reunion, leading to the band’s activities being suspended indefinitely.

Her solo career continued in the 2000s with tracks like Rain & Tears (2002) and Angels (2007).

Her artistic journey is marked by an early passion for dance, ignited at the age of five by her grandmother, a former ballerina, although knee problems prevented her from pursuing a professional dance career.
