Anna Abreu

Anna Abreu, full name Anna Eira Margarida Mourão de Melo e Abreu, is a Finnish-Portuguese singer born on February 7, 1990, in Vantaa. She rose to fame by finishing as the runner-up in the third season of the Finnish talent show Idols in 2007, securing 43% of the final vote. Her powerful and unique voice, noted by the judges, led her to sign a recording contract in May of that same year.

Her debut single, End of Love, was released in June 2007, followed by her self-titled debut album in August. The album was certified gold on its first day of release. Primarily pop, the album incorporates soul, R&B, and Latin influences, featuring songs in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, such as Solta-se o Beijo and Contigo Corazón.

She continued her career with the albums NOW (2008) and Just A Pretty Face? (2009). Throughout her discography, her music, mainly pop, also incorporates R&B, dance, and Latin rhythms. She has become one of the best-selling Idols contestants in Finland and one of the most successful Finnish singers, with certified sales exceeding 180,000 units.

The artist also works under the names Chrysta and Anna Heiskari, and now primarily uses the stage name ABREU. Her repertoire is categorized in genres such as Finnish pop, iskelmä, and Finnish hip-hop.
