Lucian Base
Biography
Lucian Base is the stage name of Lucian Zaharia, born in 1985 in Bucharest.
At age 6 his parents enrolled him in piano lessons, which he studied until 13; five years later he began DJing in a small Bucharest club.
In 2009 he accepted a collaboration agreement with the East & West Deejay Association, becoming its official Bucharest representative.
That year, with a member of the band Halo, he laid the foundations of the band Monthero; the band later collapsed and “Velvet Sky” remained unreleased.
He then made his debut as a producer in 2010 with remixes of Jump Up and Boro na sou po.
Also in 2010, together with his friend DJ Kobin, he founded the production studio Spontan Production.
In 2011 he officially released his first single On me featuring the vocals of Eilah.
Early 2012 he released the second single I've got no reason with Eilah, which quickly became a hit in Poland, Russia and Spain.
The Lucian Base project reflects the solo trajectory of Lucian Zaharia as DJ, remixer and producer, with vocal collaborations and an independent production studio.
