Ic3m4n

Biography

Ic3m4n is the pseudonym of the German trance and hands-up producer Sascha Ebert, originally from Hamburg.

Born on October 16, 1985, he got into electronic music around the age of twelve, starting production with the software Magix Music Maker. Having also learned guitar from the age of nine, he acquired a solid musical foundation. His journey then led him to master software like Fruity Loops and Reason, before turning to Cubase to produce what he describes as “North German Progressive Trance.”

His stage name, “Ic3m4n”, is a stylized spelling of “Iceman”, a nickname he has had since childhood, around the age of nine. This particular spelling, inspired by the PC video game world, seemed catchy to him and had good recognition value, despite the occasional pronunciation difficulties it could cause.

Very ambitious and persevering, he distributed CD demos to many DJs at parties, a strategy that eventually paid off. This approach allowed him to meet Blue Nature and Axel Konrad from the group Groove Coverage, a decisive encounter that facilitated his entry into the professional music industry through remix commissions.

He describes himself as open, spontaneous, humorous, and passionate about parties, able to go out several times a week. Under the pseudonym Ic3m4n, he is also active under other aliases such as Electrified and Sem. His work is sometimes associated with genres like italo dance.
