Biography
Robin S., born Robin Jackson Stone, is an American singer and songwriter born on April 27, 1962, in Hempstead, New York.
She rose to fame in the early 1990s with house tracks that became classics, notably her debut single Show Me Love, which became a club number one, and Luv 4 Luv. Her early releases appeared under her full name, Robin Stone, before she adopted the stage name Robin S. for subsequent releases.
Signed to Big Beat Records in 1993, her debut album, also titled *Show Me Love*, was propelled by the success of the eponymous single. Often described as a house diva, her productions blend live instrumentation with electronic elements.
After several years focused on songwriting, she prepared a second album by collaborating with renowned electronic music producers such as Eric "E-Smoove" Miller and Todd Terry. Titled *From Now On* and released in 1997 on Atlantic, this album broadened her range by incorporating gospel influences and ballads, while retaining energetic material for the dancefloors. It generated another dance chart success with the single It Must Be Love.
In 2024, she signed with Humble Sound Records for a collaboration with James Artissen to release new music. She continues to tour and collaborate with DJs worldwide.
