
Ocean Drive
Biography
Ocean Drive is an electronic music project formed in 2008 by French producers Nicolas Carel and Just Uman.
The duo met in a nightclub in Miami, Florida, and chose to name their project after Ocean Drive, the famous thoroughfare in South Beach, Miami.
Ocean Drive is a European dance and electropop act, achieving success in France, Belgium, and Switzerland. The project has released an album titled “With the Sunshine” as well as several singles.
The project regularly collaborates with singer Gilles Luka, a former member of the bands Galleon and Luka. Among their other collaborations are DJ Oriska, Smartzee, and, more recently, Norwegian singer and presenter of Iranian origin Aylar Lie.
In May 2010, Ocean Drive signed a deal with the British label Dance Nation to distribute their music in the United Kingdom. The remake of their track Some People with Aylar Lie was the first single released under this new label.
Furthermore, there is another homonymous project, active in the early 2000s, formed by Dutch producers Michiel van der Kuy and H.J. Lookers. This project also used the alias Oxidizing Agent.
