Biography
Singer-songwriter based in Spain, Emma McCallion grew up in Ireland; that multicultural background informs her solo work and collaborations.
As an activist for protecting and supporting vulnerable women, Emma places social issues at the heart of her songs and turns them into calls to act against injustice.
Her debut EP, Sing the Ohs, produced by Raul Nacher at Soniart Producciones, gathers notable pop tracks that address these issues with her characteristic optimism.
The upbeat single Take It Back, expressing a yearning for deeper connection in the age of social media, was featured on Levante TV, Revista de Sociedad and Nacer de Novo Radio.
Her new single, Paying for Love, made in collaboration with the organization OFF! Just Love, offers a thought-provoking take on inequality and sends a clear message of reconciliation; the music video is available on YouTube.
Active within a collaborative music community, Emma appears on EDM tracks by Arthur Xust & Mark such as I'm Alive, Limelight and Butterfly, highlighting her ties to the electronic scene.
A long-time collaborator with the Gospel Gloria choir, she features on Un Paso Mas and He Venido and regularly leads the choir at shows across Spain.
She also records and performs with fellow activist and singer Eva Betoret, appearing in the music video Mediterraneo.
