Drunkenmunky

Biography

The Drunkenmunky project is an alias of a Dutch producer trio made up of Koen Groeneveld, Addy van der Zwan and Jan Voermans. Initially formed by these three members, it became a duo after Jan Voermans left in 2005, with Koen Groeneveld and Addy van der Zwan continuing the project.

The production team is prolific and uses more than thirty pseudonyms for their recordings; among the most notable are Klubbheads, Itty Bitty Boozy Woozy, Greenfield, Hi_Tack and The Sound Of Now.

Under the name Drunkenmunky they released several notable dance tracks: in 2003 E reached the Top 40 of the Billboard Dance Chart and sampled Eminem’s Without Me ; in some territories the song was issued as E (As In Evangeline), a version that did not include that sample. Another notable hit is Yeah!, which uses the crunk sample from Usher’s Yeah!. The project’s musical style includes electronic dance, trance, house and techno.
