The Disco Boys

The Disco Boys

Biography

The Disco Boys are a German DJ duo from Hamburg, formed by Gordon Hollenga and Raphael Krickow.

In 1995, Gordon and Raphael were the first DJs in Germany to systematically mix original disco vinyl with the latest house hits, using this approach as a protest against the techno monotony of the time.

Their musical style, described as disco house and sometimes French house, rests on a unique blend of disco classics and older samples with modern house sounds.
This approach earned them a wide fan base in the early 2000s, well beyond Hamburg’s borders.

The duo is known for tracks such as I Love You So, For You, Here On My Own, B-B-B Baby and What You Want.

They released a series of mix albums compiling more than two hours of continuously mixed tracks.
The series includes The Disco Boys Vol.1 (2001), Vol.2 (2002), Vol.3 (2003), Vol.4 (2004), Vol.5 (2005), Vol.6 (2006), Vol.7 (2007) and Vol.8 (2007).

The duo frequently performs as DJs in clubs around the world, primarily in Germany.
