Daze

Daze

Biography

Daze is a Danish eurodance trio consisting of vocalist Trine Bix and programmers Sieber and Jesper T (Jesper Tønnov Rasmussen). The project is a creation of the production duo Jam & Delgado, also known for groups like Aqua, Me & My, and Hit 'n' Hide.

Their debut single, Superhero, became one of the best-selling singles in Denmark in 1997 and was certified gold and platinum across Scandinavia. The two follow-up singles, Toy Boy and Together Forever (The Cyber Pet Song), were also highly successful on Nordic charts. The latter track is a tribute to virtual pets, notably the Tamagotchi.

Their 1997 album, titled *Super Heroes*, immediately charted, peaking at number one in Finland and number three in Denmark. The album sold over 250,000 copies in Scandinavia and earned the group a Danish Grammy for Best Dance Album in 1998.

The group continued with the singles 15 Minutes Of Fame in 1999 and 2nd Chance in 2000, the latter being reworked by producer DJ Jurgen. Their second album, *They Came To Rule*, was released the same year.

Their music, characterized by catchy pop melodies and electronic productions, is in the vein of late-1990s bubblegum dance and eurodance.
