Moon Taxi
Biography
Moon Taxi is an Estonian Dance project that emerged in 2005 and was described as a completely new concept in the local scene at the time of its release. The project uses samples from other songs to build a distinctive sound.
Its debut single, Let's Get Loud, came out in spring 2005 as a club version of the Estonian song performed by Suntribe at Eurovision 2005. The female group Suntribe, which later split up, consisted of Laura Põldvere, Mari-Leen Kaselaan, Dana Ots, Jaanika Vilipo and Rebecca Kontus. Moon Taxi’s version achieved greater international success than the original.
Moon Taxi also reworked Through My Window, connected to Eurovision 2006. The project’s producers are Sven Lõhmus and Lauri Laagus. To keep up with the latest Dance trends, well-known radio DJ Kristjan Hirmo also collaborated on the project.
