Deep Zone Project

Deep Zone Project is a Bulgarian pop and dance music project, active since the early 2000s.

The collective is recognized as one of the leading formations in the Bulgarian pop/dance scene and as a major musical exporter from the country.

Initially formed by three musicians, DJs, and sound engineers, the project is also renowned for its remixes for various Bulgarian music stars and talents.

Its members include Dian Solo, voted “Best Bulgarian DJ” in 2006, Rossko (internationally recognized for his second place in the Danny Tenaglia remix contest), JuraTone (multi-instrumentalist), and singer Joanna Dark.

Other members or collaborators associated with the project include Александър Кирпов, Диян Савов, and Eva Maria.

The project also uses the alias Ibiza Sound Machine.

Their first album, “Ela Izgrey”, was nominated in five categories at the MM TV Awards in 2002.

The eponymous single “Ela Izgrey” won the “Best Song” award, and the following single, “Bez Coffein”, won the “Best Club Track” award the next year.

Among their other major hits are “Mystica”, played by Roger Sanchez on his radio show “Release Yourself”, and “I Challenge You” (feat. L-Vis), which charted on MTV’s “World Chart Express”.

A notable collaboration took place with Bulgarian techno pioneer DJ Balthazar, resulting in four complete national tours and two hits: “Welcome To The Loop” and “DJ, Take Me Away”.

The latter song won the Bulgarian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008, reached the final, and was seen by millions of viewers.

The track “DJ, Take Me Away” was signed in over 70 countries and received the award for the best Southeastern European track at the SEEME International Music Awards.

The single “Let The Music Move Ya / Lesno se vyzbujdam”, released in 2008, quickly became a success, reaching the Top 3 of the official Bulgarian chart and the number one spot on several charts.

The project regularly performs live and with DJ sets in clubs, at festivals, and concerts.
