Biography

Yasmin K., real name Yasmin Knoch, is a German singer born on September 27, 1986 on the island of Saint Lucia.
She is the daughter of singer Oliver Bendt, founder of the combo Goombay Dance Band.

She rose to fame in the autumn of 2001 by participating in the second season of the talent show “Popstars” on RTL2, reaching the finals but ultimately not joining the group Bro'Sis formed during the show.
After her elimination, she was contacted by producer and jury member Alex Christensen.

Under the stage name Yasmin K., she collaborated with him under the moniker Alex C. feat. Yasmin K. to release in 2002 the single Rhythm Of The Night, a cover of the Italian project Corona.

After a four-year hiatus, she returned in 2007 under the pseudonym Yasmin K., still alongside Alex Christensen, with the track Du Hast Den Schönsten A*$c# Der Welt, a cover of “Run A Way” by The Sound Lovers.
This single was a great success and reached number one on the German charts.
