Therese
Biography
Therese, born Eva Therese Grankvist on 2 May 1977 in Nässjö, Sweden.
She grew up in Nässjö and moved to Tulling at age 13. Her musical journey began unusually when she called the Sony offices and sang on their answering machine; this led to an invitation to record a demo and, around 1997, to meeting Dr. Alban, who persuaded her to join the Drömhus project.
Originally intended as a group, Drömhus eventually became Therese’s solo project. Under that name she entered Melodifestivalen 1999 with Stjärna på himmelen, which finished second.</p][p]In 2000 she announced she was leaving the Drömhus project to perform under her first name, Therese. She achieved international success in 2004 through a collaboration with Swedish DJ StoneBridge on the worldwide dance hit Put 'Em High; the same year she scored a club hit with Time.</p][p]She continued with other notable collaborations, including with Digital Dog. In 2007 she again took part in Melodifestivalen with the group The Attic and the song The Arrival, but did not qualify for the final; that year she also released the single Feelin' Me in the UK.</p][p]As Therese she released two albums, founded her own label, Vixon Records, in 2014, and returned under the pseudonym Drömhus in 2015.
