Punkrockerz

Punkrockerz is a Hands Up group from Hamburg, Germany. The collective consists of André Pietschmann, Ralf Zimmermann and Thomas Rother.

Whether as a DJ team or live on stage, Punkrockerz combine commercial dance music with a cool rock touch. Since their beginnings they have become an integral part of the dance scene.

Their first single, Punkrocker, was released in April 2007 and quickly won fans’ hearts. The idea for the track came after the group saw the video for I Wish I Was A Punkrocker on television, which prompted them to go into the studio.

In early 2008, after producing some remixes, the group released their second single, I Won't Forget You, accompanied by an extensive remix pack offering mixes for every taste. At the start of that same year, Punkrockerz began a club tour, delivering a blend of party atmosphere and live-concert feeling.

Their live show goes beyond a DJ set: they perform with a singer, dancers and a six-person crew to electrify the crowd. For their first track they quickly found a fitting voice in Nicola, a talented singer who was also one of Sandi Thom’s early fans.

A third single, announced for spring 2009, was in preparation, promising a more rock-oriented sound than ever.
