Accuface

Biography

Accuface is the stage name of German producer Marlon Jürs, originally from Bremen.

His musical journey was inspired from childhood by electronic music, with particular attention in the 1980s to bands like Depeche Mode and New Order, and later to the Electronic Body Music of acts such as Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, and A Split Second.

He began creating his own tracks in 1994 and performed his first live shows in his region. A performance at the legendary Hamburg club “Tunnel” led to a contract offer from the label Tunnel Records, for which he became one of its first artists in 1995.

He produced alongside figures like Timo Maas, Thomas Schumacher, and Gary D. In 1996, he made trance history with the maxi-CD “HIGHTECHFLASH”, a mixed track lasting about twenty minutes.

Many tracks became notable, such as “MILLENIUM BUG”, which became an underground hit via MP3 file sharing, and “LET YOUR MIND FLY”, released as TUNNEL ALLSTARS PRESENT ACCUFACE for Sony Music, which entered the European dance charts.

His live performances led him to numerous events, including the Loveparade in Berlin and, on several occasions, Privilege in Ibiza, billed as the world’s largest club.

In parallel, Marlon Jürs explored more melodic avenues with his project Aeon. The track “MASTERPIECE OF EMOTION”, released in 2001, was highly successful, reaching number one on the European “Dance Paradise” chart and being played by DJs like Paul van Dyk and Talla 2XLC.

The duo Blank & Jones was impressed by his music, leading to an Accuface remix of their track “DESIRE”. He also created remixes for other artists, such as rave icon Mental Theo.

Other notable Accuface productions include the tracks “JOURNEY INTO SOUND”, “RED SKY”, and “JETLAG”. In 2004, he toured North America, performing in New York, Montreal, and Toronto.

The collaboration with New York songwriter Alexander Perls on the track “YOUR DESTINATION” achieved significant success in European dance charts, as well as in Japan, the United States, and Canada.

To celebrate ten years of activity, he released the album “10 – MOST WANTED”, featuring original and rare versions of his tracks, including “ON YOUR OWN”, his very first vinyl release.

Accuface also co-founded several digital labels alongside Johannes Ripken, a producer for Overdrive Division and Cosmic Squad. These labels include Metrophonic Resistance (hard trance/hardstyle), Pure Energy Records (trance), Sonic Flash (hands up), and Sonic Art Music (EDM/house).

Under the name Accuface, Marlon Jürs also uses several aliases for his productions, including Vortex, Aeon, Hardface, Marlon Jürs, Pete Sheppibone, Megasonic, 44 Desert Eagle, and Re-Actor.
