Two in 1

Two In 1 is a German bubblegum dance duo from Berlin, made up of Andii (born October 23, 1982) and Toni Cottura (born March 9, 1982). Their aim was to turn the world into one huge dance floor, presenting themselves as two musicians forming a single unit and sharing the same dreams and passion for music.

Their only single, I Want You To Want Me, was released on November 19, 2001. The maxi CD also included a second track, Close Your Eyes. Their music blends trance and pop elements into catchy, chart-oriented anthems. Even before the release, the duo performed many times, including at the German Film Awards ceremony, the Popkomm-Ringfest, on TV shows, and on open-air radio stages, where they showcased their skills as singers and dancers.

I Want You To Want Me was written by Hartmut Krech and produced by Elephant Music, the same team behind Passion Fruit’s 2000 album. The song’s style, including the vocals, bears striking similarities to Passion Fruit, which led to rumors that the track may originally have been intended for that group. The Two In 1 project was abandoned around 2002, with no further records released.
