David Tavaré

Biography

David Tavaré is a Spanish singer, DJ and producer, born on December 20, 1984 in Pollença on the island of Mallorca.

Son of a legendary Spanish guitarist, he is the nephew of English comedian Jim Tavaré and former cricketer Chris Tavaré. Raised on the tourist island, he drew strong inspiration from the Mediterranean lifestyle.

His vocation was born watching the talent show Operación Triunfo; finalist David Bustamante was his singing teacher.

His first major hit was Summerlove (also known as Remember), produced by Spanish star-producer Luis Rodriguez in collaboration with Martin Neumayer and DJ Maurice. Blending chill-out beats, a nostalgic romance and a Latin touch, it became an international hit in 2006, accompanied by a seductive video shot in a Caribbean club by director Thierry Vergnes.

His second single, Hot Summer Night (Oh La La La), featuring 2 Eivissa, was released in Spain in July 2007 where it reached the top 2, then in France a year later where it became one of the summer hits.

He released the album La Vida Viene y Va in a French edition in 2008, then a Spanish edition in 2009.

David Tavaré performed on notable tours and festivals such as the Disco Estrella Tour in Spain, Los 40 Principales, the World Dance Music Festival in Seville and the Miami Latin Music Festival.
