Biography
Minelli, born Luisa Ionela Luca, is a Romanian singer, composer and songwriter, born on 22 August 1988 in Slobozia.
Before launching a solo career, she was a member of the group Wassabi.
Separately, the name Minelli also refers to a distinct musical project: the EP (or its tracks) « Sounds From A Silent Place », a rare synth-pop and darkwave work with melancholic tones, featuring an atmospheric, emotional and vintage sound reminiscent of early-1980s British electronic music.
The project is characterized by a dreamy, entrancing atmosphere, plaintive vocals and synthesizer melodies evoking nostalgia and memories.
Tracks include Sounds From A Silent Place (Part I & II), Baby Don't Cry, When The Eyes Get Bright and Power-Mind.
Considered a cult classic for its atmospheric depth and emotional resonance, this recording is primarily a collectors’ item traded on specialized platforms.
