Clarees
Biography
Clarees, real name Clarissa Schöppe, is an electronic dance music (EDM) singer and dancer born on November 16, 1999, near Berlin.
Coming from a family of actors, she practically grew up on stage, which allowed her to discover her talents for singing, dancing, and acting at a very young age.
She started ballet lessons at the age of four, a passion that lasted six years. She then turned to styles like hip-hop and dancehall. At fifteen, during an international exchange program, she discovered her passion for salsa and Argentine tango.
In high school, she focused on singing and traveled extensively in Europe. She notably directed the gospel choir, led the school band, and held student and political representative positions. She graduated in 2018.
Shortly after, in 2018-2019, she participated in the TV show German Idol and was elected by the jury and the public to qualify for the semi-finals.
She then signed her first exclusive contract with a label and management, releasing her first pop songs. In July 2020, she terminated this contract and began collaborating with international EDM singers and producers.
